I was admitted with a bleed from my stoma I was quickly seen by on-call surgeon Dr Smith who decided I need the bleed cauterised in theatre, the operation went extremely smoothly but afterward I became septic and ended up in the intensive care unit, the team came to see me the next day so Dr Smith and Dr Granitsiosis wondered what they had missed but to this day I believe it was just a coincidence. I ended up in a coma and on ECMO the urology team undoubtedly saved my life and have done on a number of occasions in the last five months, I would like to thank them individually for what they have done for me a special thank you to Dr Smith, Dr Granitsiosis, Dr Larid, Dr Mains and Dr Good they have all played a part to get me through the last five months, I would also like to thank the registrars Dr Gallagher, Dr Boyle and Sammy who all played a part in the last five months of helping me through this. I would like to thank every member of ward 56 who without a shadow of a doubt saved me I will be forever grateful to yous. I would like to thank nurse practitioners Lorraine and Angela who basically went above and beyond for me in times of need, I will never forget what you all did for me yous deserve a medal for saving me from a certain death more than once!
