"Ambulance teams"

About: West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My father had suffered Covid and was on day 9 since positive test , his breathing was laboured, no food, dehydrated and delirious.

He’s 26 stone and upstairs with a turned staircase.

The initial team came and they were fabulous, very caring, professional and nothing was too much trouble.

In order to evacuate him from the upstairs 8 others had to assist , all as patient as the first crew.

They were truly amazing and I can not thank them all enough for their patience and care when taking him from the home.

We are still awaiting to understand his care and treatment  but fingers crossed he will be ok

Thanks you NHS

Hi, firstly, apologies for our delayed response and secondly, thank you for taking the time to send us your kind words. We're so glad to hear our crews were so caring and professional and sincerely hope your father is on the mend now. If you'd like to formally thank any of the crews who have gone above and beyond, please feel free to send the date we were called along with the dress we were called to, along with your comment to compliments@wmas.nhs.uk, this way we can track down the crew and pass your message directly onto them. Thanks again.
