Back in October I was referred by my GP to get a mole checked out after I had noticed some changes. I was very surprised by the fact I got called to book an appointment the same day the referral was made and was given a time to see a doctor that very week.
During the appointment, the doctor checked the mole I was referred for and kindly offered to check all others when I mentioned I never had such a check in the past. I was booked for a further appointment with a consultant to get the mole removed and sent for biopsy. I was explained the procedure and what to expect and was given time to ask questions.
I was very happy with the doctor I met but I have to admit I found it very strange that none of the medical staff in the clinic that day was wearing a mask.
The second appointment ran very smoothly as the first one. The consultant was really nice, explained the procedure again and gave me all necessary information for after care.
Luckily it turned out to be nothing serious so no need to book further appointments, but I would be happy to be referred to this Dermatology department in future and be seen by the same doctors, if needs be.
