What I liked
To be honest there wasn't much to like except the odd nurse who actually took her job seriously
What could be improved
Cleanliness, respect, nurses attitude to patients and family and comunication
Anything else?
My grandad was rushed into hospital delirious and very poorly to the cdu ward we got told 1 week before christmas that his cancer had spread to his brain, kidney and lungs and he only had a few days left we all said our goodbyes only to find a few days later that his cancer hadn't spread and he wasn't going to die in the next few day the doctor had made a guess without any scans or investigation and was completely wrong turned out my grandad had phnumonia! He was then put on the Cambridge m2 ward we expressed concern that he'd had another stroke coz he was showing signs but the nurses dismissed it only to say a few days later that yes it was a stroke. He suffers dementia and was supposed to be constantly monitored but had a bad fall and he gashed his head. When we questioned what had happened no one knew because it hadn't been documented my grandad ended up with two bleeds on his brain because of this. The ward was extremelly dirty with blood, urine and dirty tissues all over floor for days. Grandad was then moved to the Richard Stevens stroke ward where he was shouted at if he tried to move the nurses were heard slagging my family off and wen we expressed consern at the amount of blood in his urine there was no investigation done.
"my experience was disgusting and i fear being old..."
