"They implemented the new measures flawlessly"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Day surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

My son Sam had an Endoscopy & Biopsy today at the Children's Hospital Glasgow on the Day Surgery ward 1A/1B.

We were seen & admitted quickly & efficiently with all Covid protocols followed. Both the Gastroenterologist & Anesthesiologist came to explain what they would be doing to care for Sam. They explained to him & answered his questions fully, they were friendly & took plenty of time to put his mind at ease.

Everything was done calmly & even though many of these Protocols are fairly recent, the nursing staff were so efficient & implemented the new measures flawlessly. They went out of their way to make both myself & Sam comfortable. They were so cheery & happy to chat (socially distanced) Having not seen anyone except from my own household since before Christmas, it really was lovely & took my mind off of Sam being in Surgery.

The nurse looking after Sam, I'm sure her name was Morven? was exceptional. She was really lovely with Sam & so caring. All the staff, especially the nurses were absolutely wonderful today, working under extremely difficult circumstances but nothing was compromised, not their care, abilities nor their attitude. They all went above & beyond. We are very grateful.

I am very pleased to read you and your son felt supported, safe and comforted by all members of our team during what must have been a worrying time.
