"Covid19 hospitalisation"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute) / General medicine

(as a service user),

My mother was admitted to NGH on12 Jan and passed away on13th due to Covid and chronic kidney failure.

I tested positive in spite of religiously to the point of anally sanitising anything and everything, and was rushed in to NGH on 18 Jan to Ressus, then temp ICU Creaton and now Brampton Ward. I’ve ended up somewhere I never expected to be.

What I have witnessed is nothing short of amazing from all frontline staff: total professional dedication and unwavering humanitarian compassion. How this is being sustained after 12 months plus without let up, is staggering.

The front line staff are heroes one and all and we have an NHS to be proud of and a shining beacon to the rest of the world.

I’m feel the top heavy management on the gravy train surely have no idea what’s going on on the wards and are wrapped up satisfying made up targets to keep themselves in jobs, and politicians have no understanding of the real picture.
