About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a service user),

My father in law was in ward 3E after suffering from a stroke. It was obviously distressing for the family as due to current restrictions we were unable to visit. We kept in touch by phone and were always given a full update on his condition. The staff were all fantastic. As promised, they called when his condition deteriorated and we were able to be with him. The care and compassion that was shown to my father in law and all the family was outstanding. Every member of staff we came into contact with were amazing. I have to give a special mention to Kirsty.   She was there for us during the final hours making sure he was comfortable and pain-free.   We can’t thank everyone enough. True angels.

Dear maymt45,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on care opinion. On behalf of the whole team can I pass on our condolescences to you and your family.

The current pandemic has made it so much more difficult for families and patients. I can only imagine how difficult a time this must be for you all.

It is great to hear that you were kept up to date throughout your father in laws admission and that he received a high standard of care delivered with compassion. This is so important.

The staff will be delighted to read your feedback and I know Kirsty is grateful for your lovely comments.

Our thoughts are with you all at this time.

Kind Regards,

Christine and team
