"Patient Travel"

About: NHS Western Isles / Patient Transport

(as a relative),

My mother has had to travel to a number of off-island appointments in the run up to starting cancer treatment in Glasgow. This in itself has been stressful due to covid restrictions and Loganair emergency flight schedule.

The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff in the Patient Travel Office at Western Isles Health Board has made the whole process much easier, and they have shown care and empathy throughout.

Staff I dealt with directly were Kristina and Peggie, both of them made a difficult time a little easier so thank you!

Dear alijangra

Thank you very much for contacting us to share your experience of using our patient travel service. I am so glad to hear that you have felt supported by our staff team in the Patient Travel Office, through what must be a very stressful experience for both you and your mother.

We send our best wishes to your mother with her ongoing Cancer treatment.

We are always pleased to hear from our patients and their families and I have passed on your comments to the staff involved and shared your comments with our management team.

Kindest regards
