"Emergency dental care during covid"

About: Dundee Dental Hospital / Dental Services

(as a parent/guardian),

Took child who had dental problem to the emergency dental team as we in middle of pandemic and child is not fully registered with dentist in the area. Although staff were nice they were unhelpful didn’t do anything to help my child seemed to have a don’t care attitude. Child left having had no help with the dental problem and ended up being in pain the next evening. Had to get child seen by private dentist(not cheap but definitely worth it) who immediately sorted the problem of the now sore tooth and instead of having to have it taken out it is now permanently fixed and child is very happy and pain free.   U should not have to go private to get the most basic of care and treatment for a child because the only emergency option they give u is a 3month   waiting list for the tooth to be taken out. The child only needed   a filling and otherwise has a full mouth of healthy teeth.
