13th January had my first consultation with Neurology Consultant Dr Corrick. An excellent session in which I felt listened to, heard, seen, and understood by him. I was given time to mention my (many) issues which Dr Corrick continually summarised which helped me stay on track. His explanations were really helpful and his empathy gratefully received. Thank you.

I was truly humbled to receive such thoughtful and kind feedback. Working as a doctor is one of the greatest privileges, patients share with us their most intimate troubles and place their trust in us to help understand and work through the problems they face.

I was taught early in my career, by one of the most inspirational doctors who I worked with "every person who comes should have a positive experience of the NHS". That has always stuck with me as the key goal to aim at. In a very difficult year for the NHS, it's hugely rewarding to hear that we are getting this right.

Your lovely comments gives huge encouragement to continue doing all we can to make a positive difference to our patients.
