"Dangerously Poor Practice"

I called the surgery to book a telephone appointment with the dr, I was on hold for over 30 mins before the receptionist answered. The receptionist stated no telephone or in surgery appointments are being booked. I must call back and wait on hold every day until one magically appears.

What’s shocking is the receptionist and surgery are not triaging patients calls. I was not asked why I needed an appointment and the receptionist tried to end the call, when I told her I felt suicidal I was given an email address.

This is the most unacceptable triage practice I and lack of care I have witnessed.

They might fair better to implement an econsult triage to filter cases.

The surgery itself is scruffy and run down, it doesn’t look clean and I have hurt myself trying to open the front door which has prison bars that are locked to stop people entering without pressing an entry phone system. All very unacceptable!
