I was ill and Depressed after hurting my back at work, a permanent injury , I then became addicted to prescription pain killers. I wanted to get back into education, I could not go back to my old physical job, I went to my GP who put me in touch with Lisa of My Best Life, she came to see me with the GP.
She worked with me on a regular basis and got my medication addiction sorted out. Lisa worked with me on my Depression and as soon as I was ready she booked an appointment with Wellington House to start taking online lessons in Maths and English. It was a new lease of life for me. She went out of her way to keep in contact with me and support me including sending me supportive messages. I passed all my Maths and English exams last year and I am still studying. I want work in IT or web design; I need my GCSE Maths for this. I am doing level 2 this year. I am planning to discuss my future with a careers advisor and all being well will try to start college full time in September. Lisa guided me through reassessment for PIP including helping me in the contact with DWP, a three way phone call. I was able to get the rate I needed. She continues to contact me and I know that at any time she is there for me.
