"Emergency dental care"

About: Glasgow Dental Hospital and School / Dental

(as a parent/guardian),

Last night our little girl had really bad tooth ache due to a to a chip in her tooth. We called NHS 24 and were put through to the dental service, everyone was so helpful and we were dealt with very quickly. She was in a lot of pain and was very distressed.

When we got to the dental hospital we were seen very quickly. The dentist we saw, Andrew, was fantastic. Lily has not stopped talking about him! He totally put her at ease, chatted to her the whole way through and answered her questions. I was a bit worried about how she would be as she is only 4. The dental nurses were really kind also (I didn’t catch their names).  Her Toy story sticker even made it to nursery today so that she could show it off.

Thank you so much for making a stressful situation much better.

Dear Nicgh9

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment about your daughter's experience at the Glasgow Dental Hospital.

A visit to the dentist can be difficult at the best of times and the team will be delighted that their friendly relaxed manner helped make this visit easier for Lily.

I have passed your comments on to the lead for our out-of-hours dental service, so that they can be shared with Andrew and the wider team.

Regards

Raymond
