"I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Diabetic medicine Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / General medicine

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma in August this year and started treatment in September

I had suffered with pain for some months and was extremely pleased that the early diagnosis of Pancreatic cancer was now Lymphoma. I started Chemotherapy in September but developed problems and was admitted to hospital on 3 occasions and diagnosed with Sepsis and additional blockages in upper colon and bowel. It was discussed whether I should receive surgery to clear obstructions or go onto a liquid only diet for the foreseeable future. I was assisted by the dietician team at Treliske all the way through my treatment and am   still receiving advice on how to re introduce small amounts of solid food after spending several months on a liquid diet. The support has been reassuring and very helpful.

Dear Fatboy20

Many thanks for taking the time to give this feedback, it must have been a very worrying time for you. It is good to know that you felt supported and reassured by the advice you have received from the Dietitians working in cancer - we really appreciate this and will pass on your kind comments.

With kind regards
