"HypnoBirthing"

About: Victoria Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

When Paula, our midwife from the home birth team, mentioned that HypnoBirthing was available through NHS Fife, I was thrilled!  I had already been reading books and doing the affirmations and meditations, but was looking forward to actual tutorial.

Sarah was fabulous throughout and following.  Her enthusiasm and support really helped us to engage with the subject matter, which paid dividends during our labour/birth experience.  Sarah made a true effort to empower each and every one of us to trust ourselves and our bodies, and to be confident in our wishes and decisions about our births.

Sarah didn't stop at teaching Zoom classes, she also created a community for us expectant mums to engage with each other via WhatsApp, which has been invaluable for us during lockdown.  Being able to relate to and be heard by women in the same situation when we are unable to attend the usual meetings and groups has been so important for all of us.  It means the world to be able to talk to fellow mums when you're having a moment or struggling with things - just to know it's 'normal', and you're okay.  Thank you Sarah! x
