It all started in February 2020 when My left leg below the knee started to swell. I contacted my GP who called me in for a blood sample. Next day another blood sample. Next day a call that I needed to go to Hospital for a blood transfusion. This entailed in an immediate transfusion of three units of blood. I had many tests which culminated in treatment for Chronic Lymphonic leuakemia. This is treatable but not curable. I must emphasise that I have had absolutely superb treatment from the outset right up until the present and is still ongoing. The Seymour unit and the whole of the staff I have encountered throughout the health service in North Devon is second to none.
