I had a fall at work slipping on the ice. I was taken to the QEUH ED , where I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. From Karen the triage nurse to Anita and Karen (SCN) the nurses that looked after me, the HCSW that cannulated me and the doctors they were all amazing and I did not feel like I was a bother. I was then x-rayed and CT scanned and the radiographers were amazing, porters were all so friendly.
Sadly I had to be admitted to ward 64 acute neurosurgery and from the minute I hit the ward I was treated with care, dignity and respect. Lorraine my nurse was so helpful and able to answer all my questions, she made sure I had adequate pain relief, Michael the registrar was fantastic and spoke to me on a reasonable level. Seen been Mr Alakandi who was very good and Informative, Audrey the charge nurse was amazing and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable even got me a proper coffee which means a lot to me. Samara the registered nurse and Lesley the senior charge nurse again attended to everything I needed all a credit to the team. Over all from beginning to current (still inpatient) the teams have displayed ultimate professionalism and person center care and I thank them very much for this.
