My husband of 77 was admitted with covid symptoms 4 days ago to Wexham Park A&E. After a great job done by paramedics and AAU he was on amend. Yesterday he was moved to Ward 4 and this is his accounts what happened last night:
'My blood pressure, after removed my usual medication, shot up to hypertension stage 2. Night staff said it's normal... my IV drip battery went flat and wasn't replaced - it was too much trouble. I've been told there are no doctors rounds over Bank holidays ... one of the patients was left without water and was told it's not a hotel. The heating was switched off after 8 pm and I have only two sheets for cover... I've called out the doctor... Thank heavens the day Staff are in.'
These are extremely disturbing accounts. I was told the doctor will contact me - no one bothers so far.
I'm also with covid symptoms, but staying at home and worrying sick about my husband, not being able to do anything for him.
Does the word 'care' actually means anything? My husband suppose to be looked after to get better, to recover.
I do understand NHS staff is under pressure, but why choose this profession if you not there for patients.
"AAU great care, Ward 4 step to hell"
