(as the patient),

I became ill on Tuesday with what I thought was food poisoning and went to the Doctor on Friday, They couldn't work out what was wrong and sent me to East Surrey as an emergency. My symptoms weren't classic and I had blood tests, x-rays, ultra-sound and finally a CT scan which found an appendicitis on Saturday. That night I had emergency surgery and was home Sunday afternoon. Absolutely amazing care and people listened to and believed me when I said I was ill although it wasn't so obvious because I refused to make a fuss about how I was feeling.
