What I liked

Very impressed with Harland Ward Day Surgery staff's positive & caring attitude, & pre post operative care, as this was my first operation in 71 years, so this all allayed my natural nervousness pre/post op on 21st Nov.

What could be improved

Perhaps a portable mirror to assist elderly patients to shave in difficult parts pre op, as it seems this was left to individuals to compy with.

Anything else?

Initial examination/operation was to be carried out by my consultant but in fact was dealt with on arrival by another consultant, which was a surprise, but I assume consistancy is not always possible due to the pressure on consultants possibly elsewhere,although the Day Surgery Ward was not busy all day, with I think, 2 cancellations. logo
