"A huge thank you to each and every one of you"

About: St Lukes Hospice

(as a friend),

Our whole experience of the 5 weeks that our beautiful loved one spent in St Lukes was "outstanding"...

Nothing was too much trouble, visitors were made to feel very welcome and part of the care plan. The staff were absolutely amazing, so kind, caring and understanding. Any questions or concerns we had were dealt with promptly and professionally with compassion and a gentle listening ear. (Thank you Simone x) The care given was second to none, the staff are so dedicated, committed and a real blessing. St Lukes allowed the family and friends to spend precious time with our loved one, we didn't have to worry about everyday care, such as medication, bathing, feeding, dressing or anything. We were able to just take a back seat.

With confidence knowing they were in the best possible place and in such safe capable hands. We will never be able to repay you for everything you have done. I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to each and everyone of you... my heart is broken and a friendship of a lifetime is now a memory. But with thanks to you the last few weeks we spent together in St Lukes has left me with a warm, comforting peaceful feeling knowing we could not have wished for a better place to end our journey. God bless you all x x x

Dear redcx77

Thank you for taking the time to send such kind feedback during this difficult time.

As a team we acknowlege that every patient we care for is unique therefore will require different elements of care. Patient centred care is very important thus involving loved ones is a large part of achvieing this goal, so I am happy to read that in this case we managed this. It is good you felt you were able to allow us as a team to care for your loved one and you remain the loving caring friend.

As for our chats you are welcome, I operate an open door policy always willing to lend an ear to gain the best understanding of the needs of patients families and loved ones.

All the best from us here at St Luke's Hospice
