Went to A&E as I went over on my foot earlier in the day and to get it checked.
When I got to reception the staff member was great and did ask if I could have a mask on for Covid19. Said I was exempt from wearing a mask end of question, in fact we had a wee joke about it. Everything done to a very high standard.
Went to waiting area and after 10-15mins I was called by Nurse(No Mask On) , at this point everything went down hill fast, The first thing I was asked if I should have a mask on. Tried to explain that I was exempt, The Nurse started talking to me like I was lying about it. I then was asked to explain myself as to why I was exempt. But not to stop there I was told in a manner that I should have booked an appointment before coming to A&E. The Nurse went on about a booking system that I should have used which had only went live last week. Not to top that when they said I would get seen tonight, it was said In a format like they were doing me a special favour.
Went back to the waiting area and then got called by a doctor and can say they were fantastic in their approach in checking my foot out. Made my feel so much better. Sent for a x-ray and again all staff in that department was great and very professional never once did they ask about mask.
Then back to A&E and again the doctor was great and explained to me the x-ray and what I should do over the coming days.
A big 5 star for Receptionist, Doctor and X-ray department. Thank you to all of them
