"Supporting recovery"

I have been accessing this service now for almost a year. 

I guess to start with I wasn’t ready to accept I was an addict but over this time and feeling like I was part of a community and feeling a sense of belonging I have now began my recovery journey, which I couldn’t have started without the support of accessing these groups.

Not only have I been supported through this process by my amazing key worker Andrea, who is always there for me to offer support and guidance, I have also felt that various volunteers, workers and other attendees support has been so valuable, I seem to be able to take things from others that have been able to work for me.....they could be the smallest tools like counting the days that I have used against the days I haven’t but this has then motivated me and It works for me and I wouldn’t be where I am now without this support!

This is a great service and I have always felt welcomed, even on my bad days.

Great work CGL and thank you for helping me see that life without alcohol or substance is achievable.
