"Disappointed"

Walked in for minor injuries (as written in your website) as I just needed some help to figure out if I have warts or not. The nurse didn't even paid attention to my hands saying she couldn't see them but she didn't even tried to see them. The only thing she would repeat was that it wasn't an emergency and I shouldn't be there. So I would like to understand why on your website it says that this particular hospital is open for minor injuries and skin problems? I understand it is an hard time for all the hospitals but at least don't advertise this hospital as a minor injuries hospital when it's clearly not. I wasted my time and money just to be treated like a stupid. Do you really treat people like that in this country? Anyway the nurse even told me to not treat them (even if everywhere online says to treat them ASAP to avoid cross infections) and then she told me to buy an acid to remove them? (which I already used and it didn't work). So I don't understand, do i have them or not? Do I have to treat them or not? I'm genuinely more confused than before. I just came to make sure if I had warts and I left with the same doubt. Not helpful at all.

As a reference that's what is written in your website:

"Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the walk-in centre at Finchley Memorial Hospital has been operating largely as a minor injuries unit and not attending to patients with illnesses."

...

"Our NHS Walk-in Centres are staffed by teams of nurse practitioners who provide treatment and advice for adults on a range of minor illnesses and injuries, without an appointment.

Anyone can attend one of our walk-in centres, no matter where they are registered with a GP.

If you have any of the following conditions, a visit to one of our walk-in centres could be your best option for fast, effective treatment and advice:

•headaches, ear problems, sore throat

•sprains and strains

•wound infections (please note we do not re-dress wounds at our Hammersmith walk-in centre)

•minor burns and scalds

•minor head injuries

•skin conditions

•chest problems and abdominal pain

•insect and animal bites

•minor eye injuries

•injuries to the back, shoulder and chest

•emergency contraception"
