"Experience during a Colonoscopy procedure"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

From the time I arrived all the nursing staff were very kind and friendly but I found the doctor who I conducted the Colonoscopy to be lacking in a bedside manner and whilst on the table - the only communication was from the nurses attending.

Thank you for your feedback following your recent visit. I have relayed your feedback to Cara Jones, Endoscopy Unit Manager and whilst she is glad that you found all the nurses kind and friendly she is disappointed to hear that you felt unsupported by the doctor involved.

In order to look into this further please can you let me know the date that you visited the department and whether it was morning or afternoon? This will allow us to investigate and pass on your feedback. We do appreciate that it is an anxious time when you visit for a procedure and we are sorry that we made you feel this way.
