"Telephone consultation received in November 2020"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Neurology

(as the patient),

Received telephone consultation from DR  ALI in November. I have never had telephone consultation before and it was much trepidation I answered the phone. The doctor put me at ease immediately. She spent time advising me why I was having the seizures and what lifestyle changes I could make to stop them. I was very grateful for these explanations as I was in the dark before as to why they were happening. Also I felt if I needed advice before my 6 month appointment I could contact her. This gave me great confidence.

Dear Ward14

Thank you so much for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. I am especially pleased to read that during your telephone consultation with Dr Ali she was able to offer you reassurance and provide you with some suggestions for lifestyle changes which could help improve your wellbeing. I am sure it was very reassuring for you to actually speak to a consultant, especially since during the current pandemic that patients are not actually able to meet face to face with their consultants and can be worrying for some. It will be my pleasure to share your comments with Dr Ali. Thanks again for taking the time to post such positive comments.

Kind regards.

Lesley
