"New born baby"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Maternity care (Wards 47, 48 & 50)

(as a parent/guardian),

I'm so disappointed with staff at the maternity section with the lack of care and communication. Firstly.... instead of the midwife coming to the house we were told to go to the hospital. When we arrived they told us to let them know when we arrived so they can get us and we did, but it took them 5 to 10 minutes to let my wife and baby inside the building while it was freezing cold outside. Because of the long wait my child was freezing and her body temperature is very low because how slow they react to getting my wife inside and then its taken them over 2 hours to see my wife and child and even more shocking is they don't even know how long or who is suppose to see my wife. This is not professional and the lack of care and the time it took them to see my wife is unacceptable. In all standards it's really shocking.

I understand the situation but even this is beyond a joke. I don't want to have to go here every time and expect this to happen all the time.
