"I appreciate the nhs"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Cardiology (Wards 19, 24, 43a, 43b & 44a)

(as the patient),

I am just home from a 7 week stay in Glasgow royal infirmary, i was admitted to the cardiology wards 43a then 43b. I have gotten to know the staff on both these wards as i have been in and out for 2 years.

As usual, the staff went above and beyond for me and made my stay as comfortable as possible. I cant say thank you enough to them for all they do day in day out - every single member from the porters, domestics right to the consultants are just the best. In the current situation they are working with nothing is a bother to any of them they really are all heroes.

Also a massive thank you to all the volunteers working the give and go service as a family we so appreciate them giving up their time to help patients with getting things from their families been stuck in hospital with no visitors is so hard but thanks to them having your own stuff made it that wee bit easier. Again thank you so much to everyone we as a family are so very grateful for all you do and even more grateful in this trying time. Please stay safe all of you.

Dear Don87,

I was really pleased to read of your recent experience of care within the cardiology wards in Glasgow Royal Infirmary. After spending 7 weeks with us, you are more than qualified to comment on the care you have received from a broad range of our staff.

It is always heartening for our staff to receive such positive feedback from our patients and this is particularly the case in these challenging times.

I will ensure that our staff ( and our volunteers) are made aware of your comments and I would like to thank you for taking the time to contact us via Care Opinion.

I trust you are making a good recovery following your recent discharge.

Yours sincerely,

John Stuart

Chief Nurse.
