"3 very caring nurses"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I had to go into Lincoln hospital, the maternity unit, for a colposcopy  as a smear test had found pre cancerous cells in my cervix. To say that I was scared and nervous on the day was an understatement,   not particularly of the procedure as I had read everything that I had been sent, but of the result. The 3 nurses, Ellen, Ruth and Jess were more than wonderful, they really calmed me down, explained everything to me and then did the gentlest procedure that they could to get rid of the cells. They held my hand, literally, and kept me calm while explaining everything. They really put my mind at ease and went above any beyond anything that I could have expected. They are an absolute asset to the hospital. I cannot thank them enough for what they did for me.

Dear Auntie Tat,

Thank you for leaving such a kind review. All our nursing staff appreciate how worrying receiving an abnormal cervical screening result can be and I'm pleased to hear we managed to be of comfort to you, throughout the treatment procedure. Our team strive to provide patient centred, safe, compassionate care and it's lovely to hear when we have achieved this.

Thank you once again for taking time to comment on your experience,

I will share this with Ruth, Jess and the rest of our team.

Regards,

Ellen
