I had to go into Lincoln hospital, the maternity unit, for a colposcopy as a smear test had found pre cancerous cells in my cervix. To say that I was scared and nervous on the day was an understatement, not particularly of the procedure as I had read everything that I had been sent, but of the result. The 3 nurses, Ellen, Ruth and Jess were more than wonderful, they really calmed me down, explained everything to me and then did the gentlest procedure that they could to get rid of the cells. They held my hand, literally, and kept me calm while explaining everything. They really put my mind at ease and went above any beyond anything that I could have expected. They are an absolute asset to the hospital. I cannot thank them enough for what they did for me.
"3 very caring nurses"
