On my last visit to Leigh audiology clinic I noticed a big poster advising people that if they suffered from recurring hearing problems they could enquire about having waterproof ear moulds made to prevent water entering the ear canal during swimming etc.
Nice big poster but what they forgot to tell you on the poster is that they cost £70 per pair. This I find is very misleading as the poster implies that they are NHS provided, and as we all know there is no charge for hearing aids/batteries under the NHS.
Just one simple line written on the poster would clear up the situation.
"Misleading poster in audiology clinic"
