"Thank you to everyone at University Hospital Hairmyres"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

On Saturday night   I was brought into A& E by paramedics (Derek and his partner, I can’t remember his name sorry! ). They were absolutely amazing and helped keep my mind at ease and explained everything that was going on.   They then checked in on me later on in the night when they passed me with another patient, this was a lovely touch and made me feel more at ease. I was greeted at A& E by nurse Stuart who was fantastic, he was friendly and helped me to stay upbeat during a stressful time. He even managed to make getting a COVID test seem not too bad! I was then moved to ward 2 and was helped by lots of lovely nurses, doctors and health care support workers. This is the best experience I have ever had in a hospital and I would like to thank everyone who was involved in my stay!

Dear Mk2345

Thank you very much for taking the time to share details of your recent attendance at the Emergency Department, University Hospital Hairmyres. It is gratifying to read of the care and treatment you received and I was pleased to note that although you required to be admitted to hospital, you were very complimentary of all the staff involved in your care. It will be my pleasure to share your feedback with all the staff concerned.

I am sure my colleagues in the Scottish Ambulance Service will also be delighted to read your kind comments relating to the crew who transported you to the Emergency Department and who managed to keep your mind at ease at what must have been a very worrying time for you.

Kind regards.

Lesley

Dear Mk2345 many thanks for your kind words regarding your recent hospital admission and glad that we were able to make our part of your journey that bit easier.

On reading your comments its been a good NHS response to you in your moment of need and I hope that you are recovering well.

Could you possibly pass on the date and approximate time of your ambulance journey along with your name. That will allow me to identify the crew and pass on your kind words to them

Kind Regards

Andy
