"Great care in CAU from all staff"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Clinical assessment unit

(as the patient),

I spent three and half days in CAU following a heart attack. All the staff were very attentive throughout my stay. I would like to thank all medical and nursing staff as well as the domestic staff.

My only comment would be there are no showering facilities in CAU. Can you advise if this issue is being addressed?

Thank you Grags for taking the time to give your lovely feedback to our unit. It is always so nice to get positive comments and I will ensure that they are shared with all our staff.

With regards to the lack of showering facilities within CAU unfortunately there are no plans to install showers and due to current COVID restrictions we are unable to offer the use of our showers within our AAU department as we would normally do.

I hope that you are recovering well and once again thank you for your comments.

I sincerely hope you are feeling better and recovering from your heart attack. Thank you for taking time to share your experience whilst an in patient in CAU. I apologise there is no showering facilities within this area. In normal circumstances we would not have patients in this area for any longer than an overnight stay. I apologise this was not the case for you. In normal circumstance we would offer patients the use of the facilities within the Acute assessment unit due to the complexities of the COVID - 19 Virus we endeavour to minimise the volume of patients in each of our areas. I do thank you for your feedback as this will allow us to look at how we improve this experience for our patients during these uncertain times.
