Just had a telephone conversation with the GP. Very clear she did not read of records before the appointment. I am trying to explain myself and getting very tearful and frustrated. The doctor was quite blunt and lacked empathy. Absolutely no consideration for my mental health well-being and put the phone down whilst I was the middle of talking. How rude

Dear Patient,

Thank you for your feedback. We are extremely sorry that you had a poor experience with a member of our staff in our practice.

I will firstly like to apologise that you felt tearful and frustrated during your consultation, this is not something we want to hear. Our Doctors in our surgery are highly experienced and sympathetic towards all patients therefore your feedback is important to us.

I am very sorry you felt the Doctor was blunt and lacked empathy. I assure you your feedback will not go unnoticed, this will be addressed in our next clinical meeting to discuss amongst all members of staff to reflect and how we can improve.

Furthermore I would like to apologise that you felt the Doctor had no consideration of your mental health and well-being as well putting the phone down whilst you were talking. As you have left this review anonymously I cannot contact you. Can I kindly request for you to please get in contact with the practice on 0203 325 9888 and speak to myself Halima Begum (Patient Care Manager) so we can discuss this further?

It would be really helpful if you can attend our next Patient Participation Group (PPG). We use this forum to discuss any concerns that patients have about our service and to provide them with information and education sessions on the wide range of services that we provide. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
