From start of admission to discharge the attention and approach by the staff was amazing. I had an emergency admission from my GP surgery possible PE. Thankfully it was pleurisy and nothing to serious.
From the minute of admission I was assessed immediately informed of every step taken and reassured all the way. I feel safe and looked after and knew I was in great hands. The consultant was amazing. I have forgotten his name but when he heard I was a nurse in Glasgow he was asking my opinion on the service and my words to him were that I thought the unit was amazing. I had 5 hours watching as there really isn't much to do when waiting to go for scans and await blood tests. Scans were done very quickly and bloods taken immediately on admission.
I did all my nurse placements in Ayr hospital watching how the staff conducted themselves and how proficient and professional they were in the unit that day is a credit to the hospital.
"A credit to the hospital"
