"Stopping my medication"

About: GPs in South Lincolnshire Pilgrim Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I rang 111 and was booked into the urgent treatment centre but once I arrived due to my notes and history I was sent to A&E thinking they would help. Once I had done my urine test, blood an infection was detected but they needed a blood test (which I refused earlier due to the fact it will come back normal and they will fob me off).

I was feeling nauseous all night and after the blood test I couldn't hold back the sickness so the doctor prescribed me anti sickness medication which I didn't get until 5 mins before I left the department due to the doctor forgetting (too little too late).

I am also having difficulty with my mental state with the pain I have been in a long time and this extra pain don't help...I feel this was ignored.

I have also expressed this with my GP and that also was ignored. Since this whole experience both from pilgrim and my GP I am now considering de-registering from GP and never bothering with any NHS treatment again, I have a long term condition which I am stopping all medication for and this current UTI (which they want to test for cancer) I will be cancelling the appointment for the specialist.

They have made me feel alone so I will be be alone (no treatment of any nhs service) even if it kills me

Thank you for your recent story on our care opinion website, regarding your care whilst on the acute medical unit. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

We would like to say how extremely sorry we are that you have had cause to complain and were let down whilst in our care. We assure you that this is not the level of service we wish for our patients.

It is clear from your words that you need medical help. Would it be possible for you to register with a new GP surgery?
