My Elderly Mother was taken to Causeway Hospital A&E, where she was later admitted to the Coronary Care Unit and later transferred to Medical One.
While in hospital my Mother took acute confusion which was new and so frightening for her and us.
Due the current Covid Regulations we where unable to visit her but we took great Comfort in knowing that there was one Health Care Assistant with our Mother at all times. This required them sitting in a side room in full PPE for long periods of time, putting themselves at risk despite their discomfort in order to keep my Mother safe. Modern Day Heroes in our opinion.
Each and every person we came to encounter during my Mother’s Hospital Stay was so comforting, staff where so accommodating and nothing was too much bother. We got constant updates and even Phone-calls with senior Medical staff. Countless people rang from their different disciplines and we felt involved and part of the hospital journey even though we couldn’t physically be there. We want to thank all the Staff of A&E, CCU and Medical 1. You are all amazing and a credit to Causeway Hospital!
