Thank you for your comments

We apologise for the inconvenience you have experienced trying to get replacement hearing aid batteries.

We forwarded your feedback to the team and they responded as follows:

In order to maintain safety during the Coronavirus pandemic, the audiology department is no longer able to offer a drop in service for the collection of batteries. The audiology service can be contacted by telephone for advice, appointments or the provision of batteries on 01706 674913 or by email at

pcn-tr.penninecareaudiology@nhs.net Alternatively for the provision of batteries or other hearing aid consumables these can be ordered on the website clickandpost.penninecare.nhs.uk

We hope the above details help, however if you remain dissatisfied and wish to discuss your experience further, please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at your earliest opportunity on telephone 0161 604 5897, or email pals@pat.nhs.uk quoting that you have been advised to do so via NHS Website, and they will do their best to address your concerns.

Kind regards

The Patient Experience Team
