What I liked
From the Paramedics to the Ambulance Staff, Nursing staff and Doctors they are unerringly professional and caring, putting one at ease wherever possible.
It is an very intense and pressurized environment at times and one has to allow for more urgent and more needy cases to be seen. People may feel aggrieved at times but you have to walk a mile or even 10ft in the shoes of these staff - they do a wonderful job.
It would horrify you, some of the things and people that the hospital staff have to put up with and in a real world they should be paid more than those dregs of society - the politicians.
I've been in a German hospital In Cologne with a suspected heart attack. I was left in a chair for about an hour by reception before they finally got around to seeing me in a pokey little room for which I had to pay for.
Bournemouth will always have you straight in and wired up with full attention and monitoring. I cannot fault them.
What could be improved
The response times for the paramedic/ambulance, but this may be due to them being busy or where the ambulances are actually based now. The staff themselves are wonderful.
As it turned out, my massive intense chest pains turned out to be a bad reaction to the common antibiotic clarithromycin (Klaricid). The actual response time for the ambulance seemed to be ages but again that may have been my perception of time whilst I was arching in extreme agony.
Anything else?
The staff do a wonderful job under intense pressure and I can't thank them enough.
