I was feeling very stressed out, way more then usual. This was because i had noticed a slight difference with the usual process that i go through prior to the treatment starting. Carol the nurse in the prep room, was talking to me and could see i was feeling stressed. Carol sat me down and very kindly started to take me through some gentle breathing, relaxing thoughts. This made me feel much more relaxed and less stressed. I felt this was very thoughtful, plus both kind and caring for Carol to take the time to do it.
Unfortunately there were several issues with the Iuvien implant process which caused me to be shaking, stressed, a little confused and generally in a mess. When i stepped out the treatment room the first person i saw was Carol. I think she knew straight away that something was not right. Carol sat me down and started to talk to me again. She explained that she was going to help me. Nobody including myself had asked or prompted Carol to do anything, she just new what to do. She started to take me through the breathing and relaxation exercises, which i was so grateful she did. Several minutes passed, there was no rush and i believe that Carol had my best interests at heart. Without Carol doing this, the situation could easily have got a lot worse for myself.
I would like to emphasise that i was extremely impressed and grateful that Carol had been there at the times she was, that she was able to recognise that i needed assistance and that she was so committed to deliver the help i needed.
Carol made such a positive contribution and i cannot thank her enough for her professionalism and commitment in helping me, as i am assure she would have done for any other person.
"An appointment to receive an Iuvien implant."
