"Flu immunisation"

About: Udston Hospital

(as a service user),

I received an invite for the above on to attend At Uddston hospital over a week ago. I was at work and did not get the letter until I finished work that night. 

I have called the number numerous times everyday and haven’t managed to speak to a staff member to rearrange..

I do appreciate that during this pandemic demand is high, services and staff stretched to their limit so this is not a complaint but a request for assistance to arrange another appointment. 

I am over 65 and a key worker as I work in a supermarket and want to do everything I can to keep myself safe and continue to work.

I am sorry to hear you have called the number numerous times and haven’t managed to speak to a staff member to rearrange your flu immunisation appointment.

Due to a large volume of calls, we have increased the number of call handlers on our rebooking line and are introducing a dedicated email address.

Hi Stewart

Thank you for your response. I do appreciate the pressure the system is under extreme pressure

I tried to access the link however there seems to be a problem with the website so no access.

I have tried the phone number again to reorganise appointment but still haven’t managed to get through.

At the moment I am no further forward.

If you would like to rebook your appointment, you can now email us. Please send the following details to FluRebookingAppointments@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk:

Contact telephone number (preferably a mobile number – so we can send your appointment details) CHI number (you will find this on your appointment letter) Date of birth First name and surname Date and venue of original appointment Times when you are unable to attend
Hopefully you will receive a suitable appointment.

I used the email you provided a week past Friday and also tried the telephone number as yet I have been unsuccessful.
