"Once chance GP call"

About: St. Mary's Medical Centre

(as a service user),

I made an appointment to have a call from GP. I was told tomorrow the GP would call. I wasn't given a time for my call, nor was I told, when making my appointment, If I didn't answer the call. They don't call back and your appointment is cancelled. I was working and in a situation, where I was unable to take the call, when the GP rang.

I called the surgery to be told very curtly the GP had moved on. But they would tell the GP I'd called. I also emailed in as I was still in need of treatment. No call came. So I called again on the Friday to be told I can't make an appointment until Monday...

I feel frustrated, disregarded and that the surgery I entrust with my health care I feel couldn't give a monkeys about me. I'm not a frequent caller. So also feel that the GP would know, I only make appointments that I need I could have been offered a second call, especially after I called and emailed... I feel like a number and a nuisance.

I was made to feel like I was to blame. Saying well you've had your call... Regardless of reason for not answering... Even if I'd been in the loo, I should answer the call... And no one gets a time for the call... Its random, anytime throughout the day...

Totally disregarding people's personal circumstances...
