Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to you because it is very rare that someone really makes an impact on you and your life for the better but I have to say Eileen, the mental health care advocate for IAPT Advocacy in Ealing is a miracle worker.
I was in a very bad place. It were as though I could not get up. I look after my father and he was also affected. We were both very frightened and frozen in that fear.
She spoke to me, she listened and in a second it were as though she woke me up and I have not looked back.
I have been able to do what needed to be done and face our fears and for it I feel so much better. Able to deal.
In a second Eileen, she did that. No drugs, no nothing -- just her advocacy. It is very powerful.
It is now some weeks since that first call from her and really she set me straight and I am truly grateful to her and to IAPT for making that happen and for giving me that time and care and for being there. It is something I will forever treasure. Daddy says thank you too.
It is not often people give praise but we give this with full sincerity and heart. It is a truly wonderful service and the advocacy that Eileen gave -- well -- all I can say is every community, every home needs an advocate like Eileen. This is the one service that Ealing can be proud of.
A million thank you's to all who made this possible, you picked me up in a very real, practical way when I was at my lowest. I cannot thank you enough.
Sincerely, yours
"Ealing IAPT Advocacy"
