"A GP who looks after us in our vulnerable times"

I am a patient at Brownlow for many years now and I suffer chronic illness. Over the years, I have come across a few doctors and nurses at Brownlow and I have seen many admin staff on the front-line reception, who have all been very kind and supportive to me.

I want to thank one of the senior GP partners who is looking after me during the pandemic. He has supported me with a pain management plan that is keeping me functioning despite my severe pain and other symptoms. Without his expertise and compassion, I would have ended up in a very bad way during this challenging year. He helps me to focus and stay positive. He enables me to take it one day at a time rather than being overwhelmed by the severity of the pain and its negative impact on my life. He is very accurate reviewing my medications and he answers all my questions extremely patiently - without making me feel ashamed or like a burden. My partner and I are extremely grateful to this GP for his understanding and kindness, for his continued loving support for all of us who suffer serious health issues. He reviews my situation regularly while I am awaiting hospital treatment. Whenever I fear I may be on my own and suffer in pain, he checks up on us and discusses our situation, my pain levels, and my general coping. I am so humbled and feel utterly blessed despite all the pain... my partner and our extended families are extremely impressed to see that this GP has not left me on my own.

I also wish to thank all the reception admin staff and wonderful nurses who have so far looked after me whenever I have called, whenever I have been upset and tearful, or in pain struggling.

Above all, Brownlow is also a practice that supports the vulnerable and marginalized population. I have always felt touched and blessed to see that such a compassionate leadership exists in this part of the country. I want to thank you all for the good work at all times, specifically during these uncertain and difficult times. Kindness, understanding, and hard work in hard times never goes unnoticed.
