"She helped put me at ease and I had full trust in her"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I went into hospital to have my second child .

My first birth was a planned section but I was able to give birth naturally this time around . Rachel the midwife was brilliant throughout my labour . She was professional yet friendly and reassuring throughout and I couldn’t have asked for more . She helped put me at ease and I had full trust in her .  Staff were all very friendly and helpful .

Dear LM1991

Congratulations on the birth of your baby. Thank you for taking the time to provide lovely feedback. I will personally inform Rachel of your kind words as we aim to provide person centred care. I am also delighted you felt the staff were friendly and helpful. It is nice you have experienced a vaginal birth after a caesarean section and I hope you are settling in well to having a new baby again.

Kind Regards

Kirsteen Guthrie
