"Partner rushed to Shrewsbury hospital"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital / Accident and emergency West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My wife was taken to Shrewsbury hospital in lots of pain that was stopping her breath from the pain in her lower back and stomach.

The paramedics who took her from Welshpool were fantastic. Helped her with the pain and took her to that hospital so she could be scanned  to get to the bottom of the problem. The problems started  when she got there.

The doctor showed no interest and just put it down to back problem. Filled her with that many drugs it was unreal. She didn't know where she was when I arrived to collect her. The receptionist didn't know where she was even though she was almost opposite? Just carried  carried on looking at their desk. As I turned round I noticed she was in the corner. Thats where they had put her and discharged her. least they wedged a sick bowl on her lap? You don't treat people like that. It's out of order.

She is still suffering and we now have to wait for a scan in our local area New cross. Absolutely disgusting how she was treated. In my opinion, the doctor should be struck off and the receptionist sacked. Unbelievable.
