About: Edgware Community Hospital / Neurological Rehabilitation Centre

(as a service user),

I would like to share my experience with Royal Free Neurological Centre.

I was contacted during the lockdown by a Physiologist at Edgware Community Hospital in Burnt Oak to help me improve my walking as I suffer from MS.  She made everything seem easy and together with Jenny they found the right exercises and adapted them to help with my particular walking problems.

Both Avial and Jenny went out of their way to ensure my wife and I were comfortable with the exercises over a course of about six weeks via video call appointments . Avial further helped us to get a wheel chair, Walker , a bed frame to help me get out of bed more easily and arranged for a colleague in  full PPE to come to my place to give me a footwear to help me adjust the length difference in my legs.

She has also arranged an appointment with the orthotics team. Jenny forwarded the exercise routine and a diary to Monitor and record the dairy exercises.

The total experience with Avial and Jenny was very rewarding and I trust my walking will improve a lot. I would also recommend both these ladies to anyone who needs Physiotherapy .

I would like to take this  opportunity to thank both ladies in helping me. I would also like to thank my MS nurse Bhawani.

Thank you all at Edgware Community Hospital.

Dear Mr AM123

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the team, we are so pleased that the input and support your have received has enabled you to improve your walking and that the additional pieces of equipment has enabled you to be more independent.

We hope that moving forward you continue to complete your exercise programme on a regular basis and are able to continue to see the gains you have made with your walking.
