About: Community Mental Health Services / Dementia Outreach Team (DOT)

(as a carer),

I just wanted to say that the support I've had from the Dementia Outreach Team in the last few weeks has been excellent. They have been there to guide me through some difficult issues concerning my mother's care and they've provided a patient and caring listening ear when I needed to offload, to rant or to cry. They've been very efficient and proactive too. I described them as being like a bit of a lifeline today and I really meant it. Angela has been particularly outstanding.

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback!

Psychiatric conditions such as dementia are so cruel, and have such a devastating impact on the individual and their loved ones. Our staff come to work everyday to try and make a difference in these situations. It's a huge boost for us to know when we've been able to help.

I'll make sure that your kind words are passed on to everyone in the team.

I wish you and your loved one all the very best.

Dr Jim Crabb
