"Ayrshire Maternity Unit"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as a parent/guardian),

Our daughter was born at AMU by elective c-section in August 2020, and we can't thank everyone enough for looking after mum and baby.

The community midwives on Arran have been fantastic throughout the pregnancy, the staff at the maternity assessment unit were extremely helpful and caring too.

Mum and baby were well taken care of by attentive and helpful staff in the maternity inpatient ward, but most of all we want to thank all the theatre team who were unbelievably caring, reassuring, and fantastic at their job.

From the admission at 7am through to mid afternoon when mum and baby were moved upstairs, the staff couldn't have done enough for us. There surely can't be a more important job than bringing a new baby into the world safely, and we will remember the staff forever.

Please make sure the whole team knows how grateful we are for everything they did.

Mum and baby are doing well! Keep up the great work.
