When collecting medication I was advised that some was missing but would be in the next day. I live a distance from the surgery and have to leave work early to collect during surgery opening hours. As I would struggle to collect it and have nobody who could collect for me. I asked if I could just reorder early - no the system would not allow this, could i collect when I came in on Saturday for a flu jab - again no, could they be posted - this idea was rejected as being unreasonable, so I will just no have my medication until I am allowed to reorder. No attempt to understand my issues, no empathy, I would suggest that a customer care course should be compulsory for staff. I fully understand that the medication was unavailable, and by saying that was fine I would just reorder early to compensate seemed like a sensible solution.
Perhaps a move from using the practice dispensary to a delivery service would be a better option.
