Thank you to the staff on Waterhouse ward, who are amazing for what they have done to ensure best care and outcomes for my father. The dr who’s in charge of my fathers care is so thoughtful and leaves nothing undone even the little details are covered. The nurses never give up and include the family asking for details to ensure that the care they give is outstanding. One evening I called during protected time for patients, and was asked to call back, I couldn’t get through as they were run off their feet making sure everyone was settled. The nurse called me to give me a much needed report to reassure me that dad was comfortable, and that she wished she could spend all her time with him as he’s so lovely and makes her laugh.
On another occasion physiotherapy tried to encourage dad to get up and sit in his chair when I explained that Dad takes a long time to get moving they adjusted their visits to suit dads needs. My father is a proud stubborn man clinging onto his independence, never did I think he would use a walking aid, today my 88year old dad used a Zimmer frame to see him walking across the room was a sight to behold, he hasn’t got long and is on palliative care, just to know and see the staff making sure all of his care needs are meet is enough Thank you to each and everyone of you for looking after my dad and his family.
"Excellent care"
